Josephine Altmeyer arbeitet viel grafisch, zeichnerisch und druckgrafisch. Ihre Werke beschäftigen sich inhaltlich mit dem Thema der Kommunikation und dem alltäglichen Leben. Dafür untersucht sie ihr eigenes Umfeld, und stellt in ihren Arbeiten Bezüge visuell da.
Gleichermaßen nutzt sie konzeptionelle Arbeiten, oft installativen Charakters und multimedial, um in eine direkte Interaktion mit dem Rezipient*innen zu treten.
Die Künstlerin wurde 1997 in Hannover geboren und studiert seit 2017 experimentelles Gestalten an der Hochschule Hannover. Im Jahr 2018 gründete Josephine Altmeyer den Kunstprojektraum TANKE e.V. in Hannover und ist heute weiterhin Vorstand des Vereins. Während ihres Contemporary Art Practice Studiums an der Robert Gordon University in Schottland, arbeitete sie als hilfsswissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin bei Prof. Beate Spalthoff. In der Vergangenheit Studierte die Künstlerin ein Jahr lang Kunst und Kunstvermittlung an der Universität Paderborn. Außerdem war sie tätig im Kunstverein Hannover und im Kunsthaus Lempertz, Köln.

Biography (english)
Josephine Altmeyer works a lot with graphics, drawings and prints. Her works deal with the topic of communication and everyday life. To establish this, she examines her own environment and makes visual references in her work.
At the same time, she uses conceptual works, often installation and multimedia, in order to achive direct interaction with the recipient.
The artist was born in Hanover in 1997 and has been studying experimental design at Hanover University since 2017. In 2018 Josephine Altmeyer founded the art association TANKE e.V. in Hanover and is still on the board today. During her Contemporary Art Practice studies at Robert Gordon University in Scotland, she worked as a research assistant for Prof. Beate Spalthoff. In the past, the artist studied art and communtication of art at the University of Paderborn for a year. She also worked at the Kunstverein Hanover and the Kunsthaus Lempertz, Cologne.
